San Diego 5, at Colorado 2: Adrian Gonzalez hit his 20th homer for the Padres. Gonzalez’s 20 homers by June are the most in team history. The previous record was 17 by Greg Vaughn in 1988 and Nate Colbert in 1970.
at Milwaukee 5, Cincinnati 2: Mike Cameron homered as the Brewers swept the three-game series.
Houston 2, at Pittsburgh 1: Mike Hampton joined Tom Glavine as the only pitchers to win eight in a row against the Pirates since 1954.
at New York 3, Florida 2: John Maine threw six shutout innings for the Mets before leaving the game because of a stomach virus.
Dodgers 8, at Chicago 2: Eric Milton improved to 2-0 as the Dodgers scored five runs in the first inning.
