Minnesota wide receiver Percy Harvin collapses at practice

Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowl wide receiver Percy Harvin was taken to a hospital after he collapsed at practice Thursday in Eden Prairie, Minn., from what the team said was a migraine attack.

Harvin, who has sat out most of training camp because of headaches, was trembling and unresponsive for a brief period, according to the team.

“I don’t know how they classify it. Not really a seizure, but he had some trouble over here,” Vikings Coach Brad Childress said.

Harvin, a first-round draft pick in 2009, was second among Vikings receivers with 60 receptions and 790 yards last season.

“Percy appreciates everyone’s concern,” Childress said. “He is alert and resting comfortably but will remain in the hospital overnight.”

Suspension upheld

Commissioner Roger Goodell will not alter Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing’s four-game suspension, the league said.

Cushing, the league’s defensive rookie of the year last season, has said his positive test for HCG, which is banned by the NFL because it can mask steroid use, was a result of overtraining.
