Quincy Pondexter leads Washington past Oregon
— Quincy Pondexter had a career-high 34 points and 10 rebounds Thursday as Washington kept its NCAA tournament hopes alive with an 86-72 victory over Oregon.
Pondexter dazzled with an array of dunks and drives, going 14 for 18 from the field. Isaiah Thomas added 14 points for the Huskies (20-9, 10-7 Pac-10).
Pondexter’s point total was the most by an opposing player against Oregon (14-15, 6-11) this season.
at Oregon State 59, Washington State 55: Jared Cunningham had 20 points, eight steals and the game-clinching free throws as the Beavers (14-15, 8-9 Pac-10) turned back a second-half challenge and beat the Cougars (16-13, 6-10).
