No. 3 Boise State routs New Mexico State, 59-0

No. 3 Boise State 59, at New Mexico State 0: Kellen Moore passed for 196 yards and three touchdowns in limited playing time as the Broncos (4-0, 1-0) dominated in their Western Athletic Conference opener. Moore connected on two touchdown passes to Kyle Efaw and Doug Martin caught a touchdown pass and rushed for another as Boise State extended its winning streak to 18 games. Jeremy Avery, Jarvis Hodge and Mike Coughlin also scored. Matt Christian passed for 63 yards with an interception for the Aggies (0-4, 0-1), who have the nation’s third-longest active losing streak at 11 games.

No. 25 Nevada 44, UNLV 26: Vai Taua rushed for three touchdowns and caught a scoring pass for the Wolf Pack (5-0). The Rebels (1-4) could do little to stop Nevada’s rushing attack, which was led by Taua’s 188 yards. Nevada had five touchdowns and 374 yards on the ground — and never punted.

Texas El Paso 38, at New Mexico 20: Trevor Vittatoe complete 20 of 37 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns as the Miners (4-1) posted their third consecutive victory. The Lobos (0-5) struggled to establish their offense as quarterbacks Brad Gruner and Tarean Austin combined for 18 completions for 139 yards and two interceptions.

UC Davis 14, at San Jose State 13: Freshman Randy Wright passed for 223 yards and a touchdown as the Aggies (2-3) beat a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent for the first time since 2005. Jordan La Secla completed 11 of 17 passes for 162 yards for the Spartans (1-3).

Wyoming 20, at Toledo 15: Receiver David Leonard threw a 37-yard touchdown pass and Ian Watts kicked field goals of 32 and 34 yards, and the Cowboys (2-3) ended a losing streak at three games.

at Fresno State 38, Cal Poly 17: Ryan Colburn passed for two touchdowns and 191 yards for the Bulldogs (3-1).
