Share

Lines according to Glantz-Culver (O/U = over/under). Last week’s record: 10-6 (.625); season 20-12 (.625). Using point spreads with the scores Farmer predicted, the handicapped record would have been 6-10 (.375); season 13-19 (.406).

When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 704
Line: Ravens by 10. O/U: 37
The Ravens are having a difficult time putting points on the board, but at least their defense has yet to give up a touchdown this season. Ravens 17, Browns 10.

Cincinnati at Carolina
Records: 1-1; 0-2
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 705
Line: Bengals by 3. O/U: 38
Jimmy Clausen is making his first start, and Panthers are generating next to no pass rush. Bengals will present a challenge, if Carson Palmer can get rolling. Bengals 20, Panthers 10.

Buffalo at New England
Records: 0-2; 1-1
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 706
Line: Patriots by 14. O/U: 42
The Patriots have their soft spots on defense, but the Bills aren’t likely to exploit them. The Bills will try to slow things down by running the ball. Patriots 31, Bills 13.

Tennessee at New York Giants
Records: 1-1; 1-1
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: Channel 2. DirecTV: 707
Line: Giants by 3. O/U: 42
The Titans are coming off a disastrous game in which they turned over the ball seven times. Giants are emotionally drained but at home. Giants 21, Titans 17.

Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay
Records: 2-0; 2-0
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 708
Line: Steelers by 2. O/U: 33
The Steelers are patching things together at quarterback, but they still have the kind of blitzing defense that can cause big problems for opposing passers. Steelers 21, Buccaneers 14.

Dallas at Houston
Records: 0-2; 2-0
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: Channel 11. DirecTV: 709
Line: Texans by 3. O/U: 47
The Texans are finally learning to slam the door on teams. They’re also 10-3 over the last four years against the NFC. Dallas is making too many mistakes. Texans 27, Cowboys 21.

San Francisco at Kansas City
Records: 0-2; 2-0
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 710
Line: 49ers by 2. O/U: 36
The 49ers woke up in Week 2 and gave New Orleans a good fight. It’s hard to buy into the Chiefs just yet, a team that’s converted six of 26 third downs. 49ers 30, Chiefs 20.

Detroit at Minnesota
Records: 0-2; 0-2
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 711
Line: Vikings by 11. O/U: 42
The Vikings should finally pick up their first victory. The Lions have shown an ability to hang close against tough opponents, though, so this could be interesting. Vikings 28, Lions 24.

Atlanta at New Orleans
Records: 1-1; 2-0
When: Sunday, 10 a.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 712
Line: Saints by 4. O/U: 49
The Saints should be able to get their passing game going at home against a Falcons team that lacks a great pass rush and has depth issues at cornerback. Saints 24, Falcons 21.

Philadelphia at Jacksonville
Records: 1-1; 1-1
When: Sunday, 1:15 p.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 713
Line: Eagles by 3. O/U: 44
Jaguars would much rather see Kevin Kolb in this game than Michael Vick, but they don’t get a choice. Vick is a game-changer. Philly’s defense is vulnerable, though. Eagles 28, Jaguars 24.

Washington at St. Louis
Records: 1-1; 0-2
When: Sunday, 1:15 p.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 714
Line: Redskins by 3. O/U: 39

Oakland at Arizona
Records: 1-1; 1-1
When: Sunday, 1:15 p.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 715
Line: Cardinals by 4. O/U: 39
Raiders have switched to Bruce Gradkowski, and he can get the offense going. Cardinals have been pretty undisciplined so far, with two 10-penalty games. Raiders 21, Cardinals 20.

Indianapolis at Denver
Records: 1-1; 1-1
When: Sunday, 1:15 p.m.
TV: none. DirecTV: 716
Line: Colts by 5. O/U: 48
Playing at home always seems to give Denver an edge, but the Broncos will be hard pressed to stop an Indianapolis team that can be balanced when it wants to. Colts 31, Broncos 21.

San Diego at Seattle
Records: 1-1; 1-1
When: Sunday, 1:15 p.m.
TV: Channel 2. DirecTV: 717
Line: Chargers by 5. O/U: 44
Chargers tend to be erratic early in the season, so they could easily lay an egg. But if they play the way they did last Sunday, they have too many playmakers. San Diego 28, Seattle 20.

New York Jets at Miami
Records: 1-1; 2-0
When: Sunday, 5:15 p.m.
TV: Channel 4.
Line: Dolphins by 2. O/U: 35
With Darrelle Revis nursing a bum hamstring, Jets are vulnerable in secondary. Brandon Marshall burned Antonio Cromartie a lot in their Broncos-Chargers days. Dolphins 14, Jets 10.

Green Bay at Chicago
Records: 2-0; 2-0
When: Monday, 5:30 p.m.
TV: ESPN.
Line: Packers by 3. O/U: 46
Pass protection could be a problem for the Bears, even though Chicago has played surprisingly well so far and is 4-1 in its last five “Monday Night Football” games. Packers 28, Bears 17.
