Deborah La Franchi is the founder & CEO at SDS Capital Group, where she applies 25 years of commercial real estate experience to manage a portfolio exceeding $1.6 billion. She built the firm on a private equity model that accelerates the construction of permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Under La Franchi’s leadership, SDS Capital Group launched the $185-million SDS Supportive Housing Fund, which has financed 10 projects totaling 760 units. She also serves as a joint venture partner in American South Capital Partners, which recently secured $60 million in initial commitments for its third affordable housing fund. She currently holds leadership positions as the chair of the Sustainable Communities Fund and secretary and director of the National New Market Tax Credit Coalition.
