Two Santa Barbara girls’ teams swam 3:45.29 and 3:45.58 to take first and second in the 400 freestyle relay, clinching the dual-meet victory in the final race and securing their fifth Channel League victory in a row. The Dos Pueblos girls’ team swam a close third in the same race, clocking 3:46.23. Host Santa Barbara girls finish 6-1, 4-0. Dos Pueblos girls finish 3-1 in league.

MISSION LEAGUE

Boys

Harvard-Westlake 115, Notre Dame 58
Adam Kim won the 100 backstroke in 59.84 and Eric Kim won the 100 butterfly in 56.28 for Harvard-Westlake (5-1, 4-1), which swept the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay events.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

Boys

San Clemente 106, El Toro 64
Junior Jeff Smith won the 200 free with a time of 1:46.97 and Matt McDaniel, Nick Aarons and Bryan Dalla Betta placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 butterfly for San Clemente (4-1, 4-1) in a South Coast League victory over visiting San Clemente.

McDaniel, a senior, took second in the butterfly in 54.78 seconds, while Aarons, another senior, was third in 55.20 seconds, and Dalla Betta was fourth in 55.69 seconds.

The Tritons, who won the league’s dual-meet title last season, also finished 1-2-4 in the 100 free, where Grant Edgcomb won in 48.25, senior Kyle Healy finished second in 48.45, and Smith was third in 49.62. San Clemente’s 200 free relay team of Edgcomb, Smith, Healy and junior David Moss posted a quick winning time of 1:28.77. San Clemente won all three relay races, and Edgcomb also won the 50 free in 21.70 seconds.

The victory gives the Tritons momemtum heading into the South Coast League finals meet. Preliminaries are Wednesday and finals Friday at El Toro.

Brandon Pierson won the 200 individual medley (2:01.85), Chris Allen won the 100 fly (53.08) and Scott Johnson won the 100 breaststroke (1:05.10) for El Toro’s only victories.

Justin Wellins, Spencer Moreno, Eric Cunningham and Lenny Grim won the 200 Freestyle in 1:35.75 for host Canyon (4-3, 2-3).
