Who’s Hot: Brea Olinda won 12 consecutive matches to start the season, but none bigger than the 238-240 victory over Villa Park last Wednesday at Green River Golf Club. Jennifer Campbell shot a 43 and Yolanda Lin had a 45 to lead Brea Olinda to its first victory over Villa Park, the four-time defending Century League champion. The Wildcats (4-0 in league) are now in control of the league race while Villa Park (1-3) is struggling to make the playoffs. Brea Olinda has never made the playoffs.... Anaheim Savanna is undefeated through 10 matches. Melissa Vigoren, a six-time medalist, leads the Rebels, though Heather Mills, Britney Bradley, Natalie Rodriguez and Vivian Garcia have all been medalist or co-medalist at least once.

Breakthrough: Santa Ana Valley won its first-ever league match last Thursday, a 222-231 victory over Anaheim Western at David L. Baker Golf Course. Julie Diaz was medalist with a nine-over-par 40.

Match of the Week: Santa Margarita vs. Fullerton Rosary, Tuesday, Coto de Caza Golf Club. This match will determine the champion of the Serra League. Santa Margarita (3-0 in league) defeated Rosary (2-1) by nine strokes earlier this year at Green River Golf Course. Last year, Rosary defeated Santa Margarita twice by a total of two strokes. Santa Margarita got revenge in the postseason, finishing ahead of its rival in the Southern Divisional and Southern Section finals.
