Sunday Conversation: In the March 13 Calendar section, the Sunday Conversation column with Wayne Pacelle, president of the Humane Society of the United States, gave the release date for his book “The Bond” as April 1. Pacelle’s book will be out April 5. Also, the article quoted Pacelle as saying, “People used to think animals were operating by instinct and mindlessly pursuing mood and mating opportunities.” Pacelle said “food,” not “mood.”

Chinese cinemas: A March 6 article in Section A about China’s fast-growing cinema industry said the movie “Avatar” was a Warner Bros. film. The movie was released by 20th Century Fox.

UCLA-Oregon basketball: In the March 11 Sports section, an article about UCLA’s 76-59 loss to Oregon in the Pacific 10 tournament quarterfinals said that forward E.J. Singler made a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give Oregon a 38-24 halftime lead. It was his teammate Garrett Sim who made the shot.

Harvard & Stone: An article in the March 11 Calendar section about the bar Harvard & Stone misspelled the last name of customer Matt Gilliam as Gillman.
