Westchester coach: In the Jan. 10 Sports section, an article about Westchester boys’ basketball Coach Ed Azzam said that his teams had won 803 games and that the 804th victory would push him past Crenshaw’s Willie West for the most victories in City Section history. Azzam had 757 victories at the time of the article and, after a victory on Jan. 11, is now 45 victories behind West.
McDonald’s coffee: In the Jan. 10 Business section, an article about a woman suing McDonald’s over burns from a spilled cup of hot coffee said that the injury occurred Jan. 12, 2012. It happened Jan. 9, 2012.
Solar outlook: In the Jan. 12 Section A, an article about a slowdown in the development of solar power plants misidentified a Los Angeles firm that arranges financing for renewable energy projects. It is Winston and Strawn, not Winstong and Strawn.
Emigration museum: In the Jan. 12 Travel section, an article about the Red Star Line Museum in Belgium misspelled the last name of Nathan Akawie, an ancestor of a woman who attended the opening, as Awakie.
