Brush fire closes 90 Freeway in Marina del Rey

A brush fire shut down all lanes of the 90 Freeway at Culver Boulevard in Marina del Rey on Saturday afternoon.
Nearly 100 firefighters put the fire out in about an hour, confining it to less than 4 acres. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said the cause of the blaze, reported at 3:52 p.m., was under investigation.
No structures or vehicles were damaged by the fire, which was located in the vicinity of the 13000 block of Mindanao Way.
