A man was fatally stabbed and a woman kidnapped in Santa Ana early Saturday, police said.
The stabbing was reported at 1:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Oak Street, said watch Cmdr. Matt Brown of the Santa Ana Police Department. The victim died at the scene.
The attacker then kidnapped the woman and fled north as far as Brea, where Brea police nabbed him, Brown said.
The woman had been stabbed in the upper torso, said Brown, so she was taken to a hospital.
“We were told the female was stabbed at the same time [as the man], but we haven’t confirmed that,” added Brown.
Neither the suspect nor the victims were identified.
