Where’s summer? L.A. has second-coldest July 31 on record
What happened to summer?
That’s what some in Southern California are asking after several days of cooler-than-average temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, Los Angeles had a high of 73 degrees on Wednesday -- the second-coldest July 31 on record. The normal temperature for the day is 84 degrees.
The high at the Santa Monica Pier was only 64. UCLA was 68 and Torrance was 69.
The cool temperatures will continue through the weekend, with highs in the 60s and 70s along the coast and the 80s inland.
