Arcadia police seized 438 marijuana plants late Saturday and arrested a 60-year-old man suspected of growing them in a house, officials said.

A conversation with a person near a suspicious vehicle parked in the 2000 block of South 6th Avenue at about 10 p.m. led officers to a nearby home where the plants were being grown, police said in a statement Sunday.

The growing operation “consisted of several rooms with lighting, ventilation and electrical wiring run through the house,” according to the statement.
