Reader Photo: Windows to the past

Share

Edward Conde was on his way to the Cinco de Mayo festivities at Olvera Street when he caught this view of light shining through the windows of the original ticketing concourse of Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. The image was made with an Olympus EP-5 and an Olympus 9mm fisheye body cap lens.

The station, opened in 1939, celebrated its 75th anniversary earlier this month. The old ticketing concourse, unfortunately, is closed to the public.
