Here's more on the pill and health benefits that the Catholic Church fails to take into account. In 1998, Dr. Jo T. Von Winter and Dr. Matthew Bernard wrote in the journal American Family Physician:

Sadly, the rules of the church are made by men who ignore women's health and potential benefits, as pointed out by Malcolm Potts and many medical professionals.
