Readers React: Herb Wesson’s disgraceful treatment of Richard Riordan

To the editor: I was wondering when someone would comment on the shabby treatment that Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson afforded former Mayor Richard Riordan when he addressed Wesson and his colleagues.

I’ll never forget the night I had the TV on and was watching Wesson act like a bully toward our former mayor, interrupting him and cutting off his microphone. Wesson did not want to hear a viewpoint other than his own.

As disgraceful as Wesson’s treatment of Riordan was, I hope that no one — not even Wesson — is ever treated in such a fashion again.
