An inside look at three football teams’ preseason preparations [video]

Call it what you will: Hell Week, daily doubles, putting in the work.

Those are nothing more than labels when sweating through a football practice in searing temperatures.

For those who have donned the pads, strapped on the helmet and worn their school colors, they know this time of year is when high school football teams continue to build the foundation to success.

And if not success, then at least the groundwork to compete.

The Times’ Austin Meyer visited three City Section schools to give us a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into a preseason practice.
