Basketball: Justin Bibbins is MVP in Collision All-Star Game
Long Beach State-bound point guard Justin Bibbins of Bishop Montgomery was named MVP after scoring 17 points and contributing six assists to help the Southern Section defeat the City Section, 110-86, in the Collision All-Star Game on Saturday at Redondo High.
Other standouts were Westchester’s Cameron Young (18 points) and Elijah Stewart (15), Loyola’s Thomas Welsh (18) and Redondo’s Ian Fox (14).
In the girls’ game, the Southern Section won, 76-43. MVP was Culver City’s Michelle Curry, who had 13 points and 13 rebounds. DeMoria White of St. Bernard added 18 points.
