Boys’ basketball: LACES wins City Section Division IV championship

Down by eight points, LACES launched a successful comeback on Thursday night to defeat View Park Prep, 66-60, to win the City Section Division IV championship.
Khalil Taylor scored 18 points and Evan Battey added 15 for LACES.
Antoine Jenkins and K’Lon Williams each had 17 points for View Park.
In the consolation championship game of the Open Division, Taft earned an automatic Division I state playoff berth with a 60-58 win over Dorsey. Travis Patrick scored 23 points and had 17 rebounds for the Toreadors.
