Boys’ basketball: Windward to make summer debut in Maranatha tournament
L.A. Windward, under a new coach, Steve Smith, will make its summer debut this week in the Maranatha tounament.
The Wildcats return all their top players from last year’s team and have added some quality freshmen.
Monday’s schedule: Burroughs vs. Cathedral, 12:30 p.m.; Mark Keppel vs. El Segundo, 1:30 p.m.; Campbell Hall vs. Clarment, 2:30 p.m.; Damien vs. West Ranch, 3:30 p.m.; MUir vs. Brentwood, 4:30 p.m.; Price vs. Bell-Jeff, 5:30 p.m.; St. Francis vs. Dorsey, 6:30 p.m.; Pasadena vs. La Canada, 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday’s schedule: Windward vs. West Ranch, 12:30 p.m.; Fairfax vs. Bell-Jeff, 1:30 p.m.; El Segundo vs. Chino Hills, 2:30 p.m.; Muir vs. Alemany, 3:30 p.m.; Claremont vs. Loyola, 4:30 p.m.; La Canada vs. Oak Park, 5:30 p.m.; Cantwell-Sacred Heart vs. St. Franci, 6:30 p.m.; Maranatha vs. Burroughs, 7:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Windward plays Damien at 3:30 p.m.
Championship games are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
