City Section selects third class to be inducted in Hall of Fame
The City Section has selected 44 athletes/coaches/contributors to be inducted in its sports Hall of Fame. The induction dinner, the third class overall, will be held on April 26 at the Doubletree Hotel in Los Angeles.
Among the honorees will be baseball standouts Darryl Strawberry (Crenshaw), Willie Davis (Roosevelt) and Eric Davis (Fremont); football standouts Charles White (San Fernando) and Jon Arnett (Manual Arts) and basketball standouts John Williams (Crenshaw) and Curtis Rowe (Fremont).
Among female honorees are swimmer Kristian Quance (Granada Hills), softball standout Lisa Richardson (Verdugo Hills) and former City Section commissioner Barbara Fiege.
