Football: Joseph Wicker is making QBs nervous
- Share via
No defensive player has made a bigger impact in the first two weeks of the high school season than Long Beach Poly defensive tackle Joseph Wicker.
He has been credited with 10 sacks through two games against Crenshaw and Narbonne.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound senior just picked up scholarship offers from UCLA and Texas Tech after his performances.
Next up should be an intriguing test against Westlake and junior quarterback Malik Henry on Friday at Veterans Stadium.
Westlake, like Poly, is 2-0.
