Football: Long Beach Poly survives opening playoff scare, 18-16 [Video]

Watch out for Long Beach Poly now that the Jackrabbits have survived their usual playoff scare. Orange Lutheran dropped a punt in the final two minutes, allowing Poly to rally for an 18-16 victory in a Pac-5 opener.
Orange Lutheran had a 16-12 lead. The Lancers tried to get off a punt and couldn’t do it late in the fourth quarter. Poly, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, took over inside the 10-yard line. Christian Pabico caught the winning touchdown pass from Josh Love with 1:43 left.
Poly (10-1) moves to the quarterfinals and will play on the road against Ventura St. Bonaventure.
