UCLA doesn’t get very many football players from Santa Ana Mater Dei, but when they do show up, they’re usually pretty good.

On Tuesday, Mater Dei senior cornerback Quentin Lake announced he has committed to the Bruins.

Lake was one of the most impressive defensive backs of this past summer. He also has ties to UCLA. His father, Carnell, was one of UCLA’s best linebackers.

UCLA had most recent success with Mater Dei grad Thomas Duarte, a receiver.
