Football: Mission Viejo to honor military veterans
First place in the South Coast League won’t be the only attraction for Friday’s game between Tesoro and host Mission Viejo.
Mission Viejo is holding its first “Mission for the Armed Forces” game, where 100 military veterans ranging in age from 20 to 92 will be honorees.
They will be treated to a pregame meal and players will wear special camouflaged jerseys with an honorees’ name on the back. Following the game, players will present their game jerseys to the honoree.
