Football recruiting is picking up for track star T.J. Brock of Chaminade

T.J. Brock of Chaminade, the state 100-meter track champion and a defensive back in football, is waiting for the magic words from college recruiters: “We want you for football and track.”
TCU said those words, and Brock took a recruiting visit. Florida State wants him for track, and he took a recruiting visit.
Now it’s USC’s turn to make a decision. He’s scheduled to take a visit to USC on Saturday for football. Also scheduled to be there is Vista Murrieta’s Michael Norman, the state track champion in the 200 and 400.
Imagine what kind of a relay team there would be at USC with Norman and Brock running two legs?
UCLA is also talking to Brock about football.
He said he wants to do both sports in college, so if he either local school steps up, they might win the recruiting competition for one of the fastest, most gifted athletes in California.
