Sylmar High School’s principal, James Lee, has canceled all after school sports practices for the rest of the school year for non-playoff teams, citing safety reasons, in the aftermath of a lunchtime brawl that involved 40 students on Monday.
Football Coach John Brazil confirmed on Wednesday that his players cannot conduct spring practices after school lets out.
An open meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at Sylmar involving parents and the community.
