Up next for UCLA: Thursday vs. Colorado
VS. COLORADO
When: 6.
Where: Pauley Pavilion.
On the air: TV: ESPN2; Radio: 570.
Records: Bruins 18-5, 7-3, Buffaloes 18-6, 7-4.
Update: UCLA handled the Buffaloes in Boulder, 69-56, last month. But that was the first game Colorado played without leading scorer Spencer Dinwiddie. The Buffaloes are on better footing now, having won three consecutive games, all at home. Guard Askia Booker has taken over the floor leadership and has scored at least 20 points the last two games. Forward Xavier Johnson also has back-to-back 20-point games. Center Josh Scott is often a handful inside. Colorado hopes to get reserve forward Tre’Shaun Fletcher (knee) back soon, but he is not expected to play Thursday. Norman Powell pushed the Bruins to victory in Boulder, scoring 19 points. He is coming off another solid game, where he scored a career-high 21 points in a victory over USC. The Bruins’ Kyle Anderson has averaged 16.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists in the last six games. Guard Bryce Alford (ankle) is expected to play.
