Anaheim Canyon and Corona Santiago square off in Division 1 title game

Anaheim Canyon (23-7) vs. Corona Santiago (27-5), 6 p.m.
Scouting report: It’s the rookie vs. the veteran. Canyon will make its first championship appearance against Santiago, which has played in five title games. The Comanches are led by Tennessee-bound pitcher Cheyanne Tarango and have strong offense with Shannon Bustillos, Lauren Young and Kelly Stowe. Santiago has talented sophomore pitcher Erica Romero and Michigan-bound catcher Lauren Sweet, who’s hitting .490 with 13 home runs and 45 runs batted in.
