NBA game of the week: Chicago at Boston, Sunday

CHICAGO AT BOSTON, 12:30 p.m. PST Sunday. TV: Channel 7.
The Celtics aren’t dead yet. A season that was on life support last month, when they were four games under .500 and General Manager Danny Ainge acknowledged a willingness to trade core players, was revived when Boston won nine of 10 before back-to-back losses to the Lakers (in overtime) and Toronto. Chicago has the NBA’s best record, and Derrick Rose and Luol Deng are All-Stars, giving the Bulls multiple players in the midseason showcase for the first time since 1997. Rose, however, may not play Sunday because of a back injury that sidelined him Friday at Charlotte and limited him to 33 minutes, combined, in the previous two games. Chicago won, 88-79, last month in Boston.
