Long Beach State cruises past UC Riverside

at Long Beach State 64, UC Riverside 40: Casper Ware scored 17 points for the 49ers, who are undefeated in 14 Big West Conference games. T.J. Robinson recorded his 52nd career double-double, with 10 points and 16 rebounds. Phil Martin had nine points and 10 rebounds to lead the Highlanders, who trailed, 41-18, at halftime. Riverside committed 19 turnovers.

at UC Davis 78, Cal State Fullerton 75: In a game they never led, the Titans pulled to within one point in the fourth quarter, but the Aggies hung on for the victory, which ended Fullerton’s six-game winning streak. Guard D.J. Seeley led the Titans with a double-double: 21 points and 10 rebounds. The Aggies were led by forward Josh Ritchart, who scored 20 and contributed eight rebounds.

WOMEN

at UCLA 72, Arizona 58: Rebekah Gardner had 21 points, and Markel Walker scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Bruins in their final regular-season home game. Thea Lamberger scored 15 points, Kacy Swain scored 14 and Rhema Gardner matched Walker’s 12 rebounds for the Bruins (14-13, 9-7 Pacific-12 Conference) in their final regular-season home game. UCLA shot 49 percent from the field. Candice Warthen led the Wildcats (14-15, 3-14) with 17 points. Davellyn White had 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds for Arizona.

at USC 59, Arizona State 53: Christian Marinacci’s double-double paced the Trojans to their fourth straight victory. Marinacci scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Trojans (16-11, 10-6 Pac-12) solidified their hold on third place in the Pac-12. Deja Mann went four for four from three-point range and had 22 points to lead the Sun Devils (18-10, 9-8), who dropped their second in a row. USC opened with an 11-0 spurt, but Arizona State took a 20-18 lead on Micaela Pickens’ three-pointer with 1:55 left in the first half. The Sun Devils pushed it to 28-20 early in the second half, but a three-point play by Alexyz Vaioletama put the Trojans ahead to stay 48-45 with 2:40 to play. The Trojans swept the season series, having won 60-48 on Jan. 5 in Tempe.
