Ducks acquire Harry Zolnierczyk from Flyers in minor trade
The Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers traded depth players on Monday, perhaps a relief to the players involved but likely a disappointment to fans who are looking for blockbuster moves in advance of Wednesday’s noon Pacific time trade deadline.
The Ducks acquired left wing Harry Zolnierczyk from the Flyers for left wing Jay Rosehill, who had been playing for the Ducks’ minor-league affiliate in Norfolk, Va.
Zolnierczyk, 25, had one assist and 36 penalty minutes in seven games with the Flyers this season. He also had nine goals and 17 points in 52 games with the Flyers’ American Hockey League farm team, the Adirondack Phantoms.
Rosehill, 27, had four goals, eight points and 90 penalty minutes in 33 games with AHL Norfolk.
Zolnierczyk will be assigned to Norfolk.
