UCLA remains unbeaten in Pac-12 play with win at Colorado

Jordan Adams made two free throws with seven seconds left to help UCLA defeat Colorado, 78-75, for the Bruins’ ninth consecutive victory and fourth in a row in Pac-12 Conference play.

Adams had 18 points and Travis Wear made 11 of 17 shots to score a career-high 23 points to lead UCLA (14-3, 4-0).

Kyle Anderson did not miss a shot, going three of three from the field while making all six of his free throws to finish with 12 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the Bruins, who shot 51.7% (31 of 60) from the field. Shabazz Muhammad added 12 points in the victory.

Colorado (11-5, 1-3) was led by Spencer Dinwiddie’s 23 points. Josh Scott and Askia Booker each had 18 points for the Buffaloes, who shot 43.9% (25 of 57) from the field.

UCLA led by as many as 13 points in the second half. The Bruins led, 58-45, with 9:45 left after Adams made a four-point play and 61-48 with 8:07 left after Norman Powell made a three-pointer.

The Buffaloes charged back into the game with seven unanswered points in the next 2½ minutes and closed the deficit to 75-73 with 24 seconds left on a jumper by Booker and 76-75 with nine seconds left on a layup by Dinwiddie.
