Clippers still interested in Lionel Hollins and Nate McMillan
As the Clippers continue their search for a new coach, they remain interested in Lionel Hollins and Nate McMillan, said an NBA executive who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
Hollins, the former coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, was scheduled to meet with the Clippers’ front office later Thursday and on Friday to present his case on why he should replace Vinny Del Negro as L.A.’s next head coach, the executive said.
The Clippers are still trying to set up an interview time with McMillan, the former Portland Trail Blazers coach. McMillan is “most likely” to visit the Clippers next week, the executive said.
Indiana Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw interviewed with the Clippers on Monday and former Cleveland Cavaliers Coach Byron Scott interviewed with the Clippers on Tuesday.
