Steve Kerr expects Andre Iguodala to come off bench again

OAKLAND, Calif. _ With Andre Iguodala having embraced the sixth man role, Warriors coach Steve Kerr doesn’t expect to do much differently with him this season.tmpplchld Kerr said on the first day of training camp Tuesday that the regular-season lineup that had Iguodala coming off the bench would “definitely” be the one the Warriors start with this season.tmpplchld Kerr also said there could be situations such as in the NBA Finals when Iguodala would enter the lineup.tmpplchld “Nothing is set in stone, but we won 67 games, so I don’t think we’ll change the starting lineup to start the season,” Kerr said.tmpplchld “Why would we? Why would we change what we did last year when we had as much success as we did?”tmpplchld Iguodala last season emerged as the Warriors’ poster boy for unselfishness. After starting every game of his previous 10 seasons, Iguodala came off the bench throughout the championship year until Game 4 of the Finals. The Warriors won their next three games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and celebrated the title.tmpplchld Iguodala said Monday that because of his comfort as the sixth man that rather than take it out on the starters in practice, he would take approach the role with the focus more on the opposing team.tmpplchld “I just think Andre is comfortable now with our staff, with the team, with how we play,” Kerr said. “That was the MVP of the Finals.
