Eric Fisher will return to the starting lineup Monday night at Green Bay, Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Saturday.

Fisher, 24, has missed the Chiefs’ last five games as he recovers from a high ankle sprain. He will start at right tackle for Jah Reid, who has started the Chiefs’ first two regular-season games.

Fisher was expected to be ready to start at right tackle in the Chiefs’ season opener, but sources told The Kansas City Star he opted out of the lineup because of concern over his high ankle sprain. Reid, however, maintained afterward he made the decision to sit Fisher because of the ankle injury.

Despite the injury, Fisher has logged three offensive snaps as a reserve at left tackle and 10 special-teams snaps as a blocker on the field-goal unit in the Chiefs’ first two games.

He has not played right tackle since his rookie year in 2013, but Reid said Fisher has “done well” in practice this week.

“I mean, he had played over there for the year, his first year,” Reid said. “He’s a pretty good athlete. Easy adjustment.”

Fisher is listed as probable on the injury report, along with fellow offensive lineman Jeff Allen, who has also missed the Chiefs’ last five games, including preseason, because of a MCL sprain in his knee.

“He had a better week this week, so he’s pretty close to 100 percent,” Reid said of Allen.

Allen, a full-time starter at left guard in 2013 who missed almost all of 2014 because of injury, opened training camp as the starter at right guard but was inserted as the starting right tackle in the Chiefs’ preseason opener against Arizona, where he injured his knee.

Other players listed on the final injury report of the week for the Chiefs include tight end Demetrius Harris (foot), inside linebacker Josh Mauga (achilles), left tackle Donald Stephenson (ankle), receiver De’Anthony Thomas (calf), running back Charcandrick West (achilles) and receiver Albert Wilson (shoulder). All are probable for Monday’s game, which means it’s a virtual certainty they will all play.

The Packers, meanwhile, aren’t in as good of shape. Starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga (knee) is listed as out, while starting receiver Davante Adams (ankle) and starting running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) were limited in practice this week and are listed as questionable.

Starting safety Morgan Burnett (calf) did not practice Saturday and is also listed as questionable.

Other players listed on the Packers’ injury report include receiver Randall Cobb (shoulder), fullback Aaron Ripkowski (shoulder), safety Sean Richardson (ankle), linebacker Mike Neal (groin) and cornerback Demetri Goodson (hamstring).

Cobb is listed as probable, Goodson is listed as out and the other three are listed as questionable.
