Update: The Galaxy probably will be without reigning Major League Soccer MVP Robbie Keane for a second game; he missed last week’s 1-0 win over Seattle with a groin strain and has not been working out with the full team, though he has returned to training. Goalkeeper Jaime Penedo is coming off a career-high 10 saves against the Sounders and was MLS player of the week. Alan Gordon, starting in place of Keane, scored the game’s only goal, his second of the season. The win snapped a two-game losing streak and extended the Galaxy’s unbeaten streak at the StubHub Center to 24 games, dating to last year’s season opener. Sporting will be without center back Ike Opara, who ruptured his left Achilles’ tendon last weekand could miss the rest of the season. Opara, who leads the team with two goals, missed nearly all of 2014 with an ankle injury. The team has a four-game unbeaten streak that includes two scoreless draws.
