The Rams’ relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles has been quite the homecoming for cornerback Trumaine Johnson.

And he expects it will only get bigger.

A native of Stockton, he anticipates between 20 to 40 family and friends will make the 5 1/2-hour drive south for games. His mother attended weekend training camp practices at UC Irvine.

“It’s big time,” Johnson said about his return to California on Sunday after workouts. “It’s been a blessing.”

Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson speaks with Lindsey Thiry following training camp practice.

Johnson, a fifth-year pro, is expected to be a leader in the Rams’ secondary.

Johnson’s seven interceptions last season tied him for third in the league.

“I am never satisfied. That has been my go to throughout my playing career,” Johnson said.

The Rams resume training camp practices Tuesday.
