It would be a good way for the Clippers to finish off the first portion of the season before the All-Star break starts for them on Thursday.

A win over a very good Portland Trail Blazers would send the Clippers off on a good note.

Not only that, if the Clippers defeat the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night at Staples Center, they would have the third-best record in the Western Conference, a few percentage points ahead of Portland.

The Clippers have defeated the Trail Blazers four consecutive times in Los Angeles.

But they know this game won’t be easy.

“They are a tough team,” Blake Griffin said. “They are tough offensively, tough defensively. Obviously LaMarcus [Aldridge] is playing at an extremely high level, so is Damian Lillard. And all their other guys are doing their part. It’s going to be a good challenge for us, especially heading into the break. We have to stay focused and take care of business.”
