Yikes, tough crowd.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston announced his plans to make himself eligible for the NFL draft this week.

The decision comes on the heels of Winston’s first college loss -- which included a highlight blunder -- against Oregon in a College Football Playoff semifinal in the Rose Bowl.

Maybe that’s the reason a majority of people who took part in a recent Sports Nation poll cast a vote for Winston to be a bust.

Of course, his cocky attitude and poor decision-making off the field probably didn’t help.

Of the more than 500,000 who voted, 44% gave Winston a thumbs down as far as his future in the NFL.

Still, more people voted in favor of Winston being a starter rather than a backup.

A small portion, 8%, of voters think he will be a Pro Bowler, according to the poll.

For the most part, analysts have said Winston is talented enough to have a successful professional career. His potential for more poor behavior off the field would be the issue that would lead to his downfall, analysts say.
