Peyton Manning or Tom Brady: Who would you want on your team? [Poll]

Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady. Haven’t we had this conversation before?

Why, yes, we have. Many times, in fact. That’s what happens when the two best quarterbacks of their era continue to play at a high level without any signs of dropping off.

Sunday’s AFC championship game between Manning’s Denver Broncos and Brady’s New England Patriots gives us yet another opportunity to ask one of our favorite questions:

Which one would you rather have on your team?

Let’s assume Manning is cleared by doctors during the off-season to continue playing and pretend we’re picking a quarterback going into the 2014 season.

Manning, 37, has played 15 years (not counting the 2011 season, which he missed after multiple surgeries on his neck) but just finished setting NFL records for touchdowns passes (55) and throwing yards (5,477) in a single season. He threw only 10 interceptions, his fewest since 2006, and had a personal best passer rating of 115.1.

Brady, 36, has played 14 years (that includes 2007, even though he was injured in the first game and missed the rest of the season). Some of his numbers may be down a bit from recent seasons -- 4,343 yards, 25 touchdowns, 87.3 passer rating -- but they’re still pretty darn good, especially considering that he was without his three primary targets from a year ago (Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker) for much or all of the season.

So take your pick. Which future Hall of Famer would you like?
