Richard Sherman: ‘Ignorant idiots’ shouldn’t doubt Seahawks
When it comes to entertaining and bombastic interviews, no one in the NFL tops Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
The former Stanford standout had a big game in Seattle’s 29-3 thrashing of San Francisco on Sunday night, intercepting a pass and limiting receiver Anquan Boldin to one catch for seven yards.
Afterward, Sherman was interviewed on the field by NBC’s Michele Tafoya and stated his opinion about the people who doubt where the center of power lies in the NFC West.
“There are a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought, ‘Oh, Seahawks are going to lose this game,’ ” he said. “Well, please. Please don’t doubt us again.
“Every time they doubt us, you look stupid. I mean, what was the score last time we played them? [The Seahawks won, 42-13, on Dec. 23, 2012] So, you know, you can’t expect us to lose this game.”
