Sophomore Braden Ross scored an unassisted goal for Sage Hill in the 23rd minute.

Goalkeeper Erik Haug made nine saves for Laguna Beach (4-1). Sage Hill (0-3) goalkeeper Jimmy O'Hare had 12 saves.

Santa Margarita junior midfielder Andrew Sinderhoff scored during the 10th minute, and senior forward Joel Baker had a goal in the 42nd minute for host Fountain Valley (4-2). Junior goaltender Patrick Lane had four saves for Santa Margarita (3-0).

Schurr 3, San Marino 2Alex Romo scored all three goals for Schurr, including the decisive one with an assist from Ricardo Renteria in the 78th minute of play as the Spartans (4-1-0) won at San Marino.

Luis Hernandez, Christian Hoeeg and Francisco Chavez scored for Righetti, which earned the victory in its ninth game in 12 days.

The Warriors played despite grieving the death of junior midfielder Elijah Danell in the wake of a car accident Tuesday in which three others also died. A moment of silence was observed in Danell's honor before the game.

Hernandez gave Righetti (4-3-1) a 1-0 halftime lead, while Hoegg, an exchange student from Denmark, and Chavez scored second-half goals.

Trevor Titus scored in the 10th minute and Trevor Hunter added another score 10 minutes later for host Ayala (2-0).

Vlad Marroquin scored the go-ahead goal unassisted in the 51st minute, Frank Cueva had a goal and sophomore Jon Bratincevic made five saves for visiting Damien (6-0-1). Steven Ries scored the goal for Alta Loma (1-1-3).

Mark Araujo had two goals, Kyle Ochoa and Josh Winterswyke also scored for visiting Etiwanda (3-2-1).

Michael Paniagua scored twice to erase a 3-1 defecit and and Jacob Tardif also scored for host Hillcrest Christian (2-1-1). Jake Conroy and Brian Ishii each scored for Rolling Hills Prep is 1-0-1.

Joel Casal scored the game-tying goal in the 39th minute with an assist from Justin Cook for King (2-1-2). Bryan Hernandez scored for Corona (1-1-1).

Miller 2, Hesperia 0
Luis Toro scored on an assist by Emanuel Rodriguez in the first half and Rodriguez scored on an assist by Luis Romero in the second half for Miller (1-0-1). Goalkeeper Danny Jimenez made four saves for Miller, and Jose Salome made three saves for Hesperia.

Montclair Prep 7, New Roads 1
Paul Spong, Nick Pitakteeratha and Austin Mandel scored two goals apiece, and Alex Wurzel scored once, for Montclair Prep (1-0-0). New Roads got a goal from Nardy Rivas.

Ari Tuvia and Jesse Fishman each scored two goals for host New Community (3-0, 1-0), which led 3-0 at the break.

Andrew Hernandez converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute and D.J. Vigil scored a goal in the 77th minute for Paraclete (1-0-2), which came from behind to tie the game at Palmdale.

Gaetano Perez had three goals and Omar Siordia and Rudy Bailon each scored once to lead the Marshall (4-0-0).

Eric Anderson scored the game-tying goal for host Capistrano Valley Christian (1-1-2).

San Marino 1, San Gabriel 0
San Marino junior goalkeeper Brian Botsford, a first-year starter, made five saves for his fourth shutout of the season. Senior striker Geoff Wright scored in the 11th minute for the Titans (3-0-1) on an assist from junior Jonathan Nelson. Miguel Dela Cruz made six saves for San Gabriel, which was outshot by San Marino, 18-11.

Santa Barbara 1, St. Francis 0
Junior Ibarra scored the game's only goal in the 78th minute and Chadd Konig made four saves to record the shutout for Santa Barbara in a victory over St. Francis.

Victor Oropeza scored two goals, and Alex Romo and German Ramierz had one each for Schurr (2-0-1). Schurr goalkeeper Adam Parada made four saves. California is 0-2.

Tony Vela scored with a header on a corner kick by Mark Moreno in the 51st minute for a 3-1 lead to lead Damien (5-0-1). It was Vela's second goal of the game.

Vlad Marroquin added the other for Damien. Weston Pickens and Giovanni Ledesma scored for North (4-2).

Mater Dei 5, Riverside Poly 0
Senior midfilder Joe Corona picked up a hat trick by scoring the last three goals, and Richie Self had a goal and two assists as Mater Dei improved to 4-1-0. Riverside Poly fell to 3-1-2.

Daniel Barnett scored host Northwood's only goal in the 14th minute and Irvine responded with three unanswered goals, two coming after Northwood (0-1-1) was down a man when one of its players recieved a red card and was ejected.

Vu Nguyen scored the only goal for host Linfield Christian (1-2) and Brandon Swanson had four saves.

Dave Myers scored two goals, including the game-tying goal in the 80th minute, for visiting Maranatha (3-0-1).

Jeremy Clay had two goals and Luis Toro and Luis Romero each scored one goal for Miller (2-0-1) in a victory at Kaiser (04-0).

Emanauel Rodriguez had two assists and goalie Danny Jimenez had four saves for the Rebels. Carlos Bolanos scored the only goal for Kaiser.

Nogales 2, Azusa 0
Alfonso Padilla and Ramon Ruiz each scored a goal for visiting Nogales (2-1-1). Host Azusa dropped to 2-1 on the year.

Orange Lutheran 2, Costa Mesa 1
Orange Lutheran got a first-half goal from T.J. Zetviler and a second-half game-winner from Daniel Del Mazvio to improve to 3-0 on the young season. Host Costa Mesa fell to 0-2-1.

Pasadena 5, La Salle 2
Yura Movsisyan had three goals and assisted on goals by Rafael Jimenez and Trevor Maddison to lead Pasadena (3-0-1). La Salle is 0-1-1.

Stephen Mercier had eight saves and Orlando Pena, Kyle Doty and James Richardson each scored for Santa Clarita Christian.

St. Genevieve 1, Village Christian 1
Ismael Medina scored the game-tying goal with an assist from Christian Garcia and Bryan Parra had nine saves for visiting St. Genevieve (2-0-1). Village Christian is 1-1-1. Medina has three goals in three games for the Valiants.

Jordan Stanwood scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the 80th minute, and Chris Wood also scored for visiting Trabuco Hills (4-0-1). Marina is 1-2-1.

Woodcrest Christian 4, Loma Linda Academy 0
Nick Aragon scored two goals to lead host Woodcrest Christian (3-0).


Monroe 2, Saugus 1
Marlon Melgar assisted on visiting Monroe's first goal and then scored what proved to be the decisive goal in the first half for the Vikings (1-0-1).

Lester Feldman scored early in the game with an assist from Melgar, who added an unassisted score just before the break. Saugus closed to within 2-1 on Carmelo Tyerranova's penalty kick midway through the second half but that was as close as the Centurions got.
