A 22-year-old man died after leaping from a parking structure in Old Pasadena at about 4 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Investigators believe he committed suicide, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the man as Edgar Langarica, a Los Angeles resident.

Langarica and a female companion were walking up the stairs of the parking structure on South De Lacey Avenue when he decided to jump from the third floor of the five-level structure, Clawson said.

Police officers found his body in Fraser Alley, which is to the structure’s north side and directly behind businesses along Colorado Boulevard.

Langarica was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clawson said he “more than likely had been drinking” and “wanted to kill himself, we believe.”
