Update: The Mavericks have been up and down since beating the Lakers on opening night, 99-91. Dallas power forward Dirk Nowiztki remains sidelined since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last month. Former USC guard O.J. Mayo leads the Mavericks in scoring at 22.2 points a game.
