Cross country: Arcadia’s Phillip Rocha is a national champion

Arcadia junior Phillip Rocha isn’t just the best male cross country runner in California _ make that in the nation for his age group.
On Saturday, he won the USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country national championship for 15-16 with a time of 14:49.19 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Last month he won the state Division I cross country championship in Fresno.
His outstanding cross country season should set him up for a strong track and field season.
