UCLA football: Kenneth Walker to miss season after back surgery
UCLA receiver Kenneth Walker will miss the 2013 season after undergoing back surgery, according to a person familiar with the situation who was not authorized to speak on the subject.
Walker, who was a freshman in 2012, will have three years of eligibility remaining. He was bothered by a sore back during spring practice and underwent surgery this month.
Walker had 11 receptions for 87 yards last season. He also was used on kickoff returns.
The Bruins have depth at receiver, including senior Shaquelle Evans and sophomores Jordan Payton and Devin Lucien. The 2013 freshman class includes receivers Darren Andrews, Eldridge Massington and Jalen Ortiz.
