Firefighters who extinguished an apparent arson blaze that roared through a Hollywood home early today found the charred body of a man in a rear bedroom, authorities said. The identity of the victim was not immediately known.
An initial investigation showed that the 2 a.m. fire was not accidental, according to Battalion Chief Bill Bisson of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. “The fire was incendiary,” Bisson said. The home, located in the 1900 block of Vista Del Mar Avenue, sustained $95,000 damage, fire officials said.
