Six Santa Ana JC Players Sign Letters

Zeth Verdon, an All-American wide receiver who set school career records at Santa Ana College for receptions (94) and yardage (1,749), has signed a national letter of intent with the University of Oregon.

Verdon was one of six Dons to sign letters of intent. Two-time all-Mission Conference linebacker Darrin Golka, formerly of Tustin High School, also signed with Oregon. Another former Tiller, all-conference defensive tackle Tom Reynolds, will attend the University of Wyoming.

Dave Money, who set the school career record for total offense with 4,277 yards will attend Lamar University. Money, who threw for 27 touchdowns at Santa Ana, is a two-time all-South Coast Conference selection. Money played his high school football at El Modena. Tim Humphrey, an all-conference cornerback from Santiago High, signed with Memphis State. Richard Perez, a former All-CIF linebacker at Mater Dei, signed with West Texas State.
